Needed for Week of 7/15 – 7/21: show fan volunteers to select great tweets during the live episode

One important source of social content for Sidecastr are tweets that volunteer fans of each show select on the fly for while watching live first run episodes.  This content becomes part of the stream that other users of Sidecastr for iPad see when they watch.  For a fast but manageable pace, we typically need only one or two volunteers per episode to perform this function.  Besides being important, it’s actually really fun.

Sidecastr has developed a web based tool to make selection and categorizing of tweets from the raw twitter stream easy and manageable for volunteers to use while at the same time watching the live episode on TV.  If you 13 or older, are a fan of one of our covered shows, and want to volunteer for the coming week, please complete the following simple form: Continue reading

The Guardian (UK): Sidecastr for iPad

Just ahead of Zeebox’s debut in the US, it has a second-screen social TV app rival: Sidecastr.  The app pulls in and organises tweets around specific shows, but more importantly shows them in sync with an episode.  Say you’re watching a recorded episode of Breaking Bad a day after it aired – Sidecastr will show you what people were saying at the time
